In my wallet yesterday.

I try to keep about 20 gallons of no-ethanol gas on hand, to run yard equipment, and to power the generator in case of emergencies. But I'm sometimes a bit lax, and don't keep things topped up like I should.

So yesterday I filled up the push mower and finished off a 5 gallon can. When I put it away, I shook the can next to it, thinking I was down to my last 5 gallons. Nope. I was down to zero gallons. 5 gas cans, all empty. Ugh.

So off to the station I went. I pumped 19 gallons of no-ethanol gas, for the meager little sum of $75.98.

I know, I know. Stop whining. But YIKES.

Bob, maybe I tell you how much that would cost here so you feel better?

19 gallons of premium gas right now would cost in our area about 91.70 USD :smash: :headbash:

Yes, I have to remember you're way up in the frozen north, eh? Northwest Territory and all that, you betcha!

I guess you can console yourself with the beauty you get from the 4 full seasons. Just think of all the beautiful glistening white stuff you'll have all around you! :spin:

All we'll have is about 37 degrees and cold rain and drizzle. :(( :(( :((

Thanks for commiserating!

As I stand here filling the truck, I thought I'd let you know I would have paid $69.92 for it here. I find it interesting how the same thing varies. :hm: Three hours north last weekend it was $4.05/gal. :O

@Eugen that was whole bunch of math, but worth it.
