Dave,
You don't have to justify "why" with us.
Just have to include us on the journey.

Very nice! Dave, everything about your new project is interesting, but I have to ask about those rear tires. Good looking pattern on them. Good on turf, probably good on snow too. It's the kubota engine a good fit as far as rpm goes for the pump? Don't spare us the details

I will do my best to keep you up to date . I have been on and off it a lot and have been making up as I go with what I have had in storage . The engine will run between idle and 3600 rpm . Had hand make a bell housing to accept the pump adapter from a Kohler . The front half of the frame is a 70's 400 series and the back half is a 70's 200 series . Front axle is the original from Frankie , while the rear is 200 series . The sides of the frame have been fish plated for extra strength . Hood hinge raised 1.5 " same for the tower that is now a "bolt on piece" . Rear tires are "all terrain " 4 ply from my stock of "stuff" . Hood has been lengthened 6" . Spool valve is in stock location in relation to the pump . New line to be made to hock up to the read drive motor and dump box cylinder .
If cell service allows me I will up load some more picks . Images maybe disturbing to some viewer desecration advised .

One of the biggest headaches working on these tractors was the lack of accessibility to some stuff . The tower had to come off and raised anyways , problem solved . Tower was moved back 2" and up 1.5" . The lower steering/lever support was moved back 2" as well .
The hood hinge was moved up and a head 1.5" making room for the additional rad . Thus the longer hood . Will be adding to the sides of the hood similar to the Inggy tractors .

Nothing but the finest fasteners used

. Allows for multiple adjustments during the build . Best of all reusable . lol

Dave,
Are the tires all terrain or all trial? They look like the Carlisle All Trail I have on several tractors. They are 4 ply ATV tires, so I figured they'd be fine on the tractors because of the speed and abuse an ATV would put on them.

The first time I saw the "Carlisle All Trail" was at TSC. They had one in the clearance rack for $15. I checked them out at Discount Tire down the road had them for $85 each, grabbed one there and beat feet back to TSC and grabbed that one. Got another set at a local online auction, Almost new (Indents from the tits still on the tread), got the pair for $26

I got 4 with a bunch of other tires from a guy that bought a sea can full at auction . Payed about $25 each for all the 12 tires . Was one of the biggest deals I had come a cross .
