Our first Case was a 444 with a front mount 44" Roper - Burco blower. Now that our fleet includes an Ingersoll 4016, left and right hand rotation conflicts came into play. The solution was to convert the blower from belt drive to hydraulics.

The first step was removing the custom mule adaptor.

The top belt driven jackshaft was removed from the bower and replaced with motor off of a Case tiller. The original upper sprocket was moved to the blower fan and auger shaft and the motor was fitted with a larger sprocket.

An adaptor for 3 point mounting was made from 1 1/2" angle bolted to a 3 point hitch spreader.

Changing blower between tractors is easily achieved with blower rotation corrected by reversing oil flow. This proves handy when blower is jammed by rocks picked up on the gravel drive.

This was the second season for the conversion. I am thinking about increasing the blower speed to get a better throw but travel speed will be sacrificed in heavy snow.

Great job on this conversion! And exactly that was my first thought, does the tiller motor have enough speed?

How are you planning to increase the speed though? Different sproket?
