Colt Case Ingersoll Garden Tractors

I was wondering if any of you members have one of these tools. Watched a video this morning about how it can get into tight spaces and working on these GT’s there are many tight spaces.

Interesting, I hadn’t seen that before. I wonder how the mechanism inside works.

- In one of the photos the packaging says 'chain drive' I'm guessing that's how the torque is transferred from one end to the other.
Speaking of torque, another of the photos says 'Max Torque' 53 ft/lb - that's about the rated fastening torque for a 1/2" grade 5 bolt - I would be careful if you get one of really reefing on it to loosen a stiff bolt.
I would be curious to see a real world comparison (clearance wise) with a cordless 3/8 ratchet - my Milwaukee M12 fuel is also rated at about 55 lb/ft

I've just started seeing these. They all appear to be about the same with the color of the trim, or drive inserts being the only difference. It is apparently a small roller chain in there. Honestly, it's not a bad idea. I can't say if it really is functionally useful though. Certain bolts/nuts, I have no doubt.
They're pretty cheap, but not quite cheap enough for me to throw in the next Amazon purchase on a whim. I've got some pretty thin, ultra fine tooth ratchets that could reach anything these could, and I'm not worried about them failing if I have to really pull on it. I might use something like this to run the bolt after breaking it loose.

A buddy of mine designed one like this but using gears . He tried to get buy the idea , but it never took at the time . He was also a Mechanic . This was about 15 years ago.
