Has anyone tried this crayon or wax trick to remove rusted bolts?

I have not, but I've seen that before, and have always wanted to try it. The last couple things I tackled were not conduscive to the torch, so still waiting.

Add me to the list. I’ve seen it but never tried it. I believe it would work. I never think about it when I have stuck hardware. Knowing me I would have the have the wax in the shop already when I need it. Most of the time I’m to impatient to stop and go get a crayon or candle from the house!

I've seen candle wax used, never thought about a crayon. Personally never have tried either, but have a wax bowl ring that sat in the sun too long that I always have thought would make a good donor if needed.
