I primed the hood last week, wet sanded with 400 grit. Today I painted with desert sand first coat. A work in progress for sure.

Getting close to the end of this long project of painting the hood. I just need to lightly wet sand with 600 grit paper then apply a couple layers of clear. Here are two pics where I am currently. Black and flambeau grill.

HArry,
On my 4118 I have discovered "Clear Coat with Hardener" in a spray can. Really makes a nice finish! and after about 2 weeks the hardener has done it's job! Probably the easiest spray pattern I have ever seen from a can! A number of people have already seen it and have commented how good it looks. Another couple of weeks you will have a chance to see it.

What brand of clear coat was it Bill?
