Well I guess we’re about to join in the fun some of you guys up north have been having. A big winter storm is on the way. :33:

Of course if you turn on the news they have been talking about it for days now. I see every store around is packed with shopper. I bet by this evening there won’t be an egg, or loaf of bread, milk or toilet paper to be had for three county’s. Better to have it than not though. Best guess I can come up with is we’ll have somewhere between 8” and two feet. Admittedly this will be a major storm for around here. Most people in town will probably be out on the road within a day. Out where we are we might be at the house for a couple of days.

Guess I better go out tomorrow and make sure everything is ready to go.
Fun, fun, fun :))

Got another 14" of snow in past 24 hours . Ten minutes from here they got over 24" in 24 hrs . The joys of the lake effect snow machine .
How you making out Harry ? You should be inline for another dumping .

You know what is the worst thing about the weather guessers "storm warnings" ? When they are actually right . :violin:

Out warning has been down graded a bit. Not as much snow or wind coming. But still will be sorta nasty.

We’re getting a pretty good storm. Not sure we’ll get as much as they forecasted, but there is some thunder snow happening which is rare around here so who knows. Either way this is a significant snow fall for our area. Supposed to keep snowing till late tonight or early tomorrow.

I figured I’d try and keep up with it around the house. I’ll worry about the driveway tomorrow.

Surprisingly enough I have less than an inch on the ground. Weather guessers are predicting cold temp with winds in the 20 mph range with the snow staying south of Buffalo. I hope so because I won’t have to move it then. :peace: Harry

Still nasty out with the wind. But my deck and part of my driveway have no snow on them. Still to dark to see the rest. But I would say I will have to get the Case 224 out to do some clean up.

And then it got real...
Well they called for 3-6 first, then bumped it to 4-8, and my independent guy was going 5-9... Looked at the forecast map, and the centerline ran through me.
Wasn't going to miss this time.
There was at least 7" out there when I came back from a neighbor that really needed a hand 1/4 mile away. Really didn't want to go out in this, but sometimes people need help.
I had come home early from the weekend out of state this morning. Got the 444 chained up along with my gator. Will have to see what the total will be in the morning, but it's most likely blower work. 8N with blade would do it, but it would suck, and it isn't crazy enough to require the JD300 loader.

Wood stove is cooking along nicely.

Stay warm and dry folks...
