This post is about yesterday. I was just too exhausted to post last night. The truck had started to leak some power steering fluid a couple weeks ago. Turns out that the high pressure hose coming right out of the pump had cracks. Ordered one from rockauto. The service manual has no info whatsoever on the procedure

so I looked in the ridgeline forum. A few guys over there has done it and shared their experience. It's a bit of a nightmare actually, because the steel and wiggly section of the hose goes through the back of the engine, at the base of the firewall, and there are two clamps (10mm socket bolts) and the fitting going into the steering cylinder that are really hard to reach. People estimate this to be a 4-6 hour job.
Took me about 5. I'm in all kind of pains from lying down in the engine bay and trying reach as far as possible. The crowfoot wrench and the impact with long extension saved my behind as this very sell could have been an unfinished drama. One guy had to call a mobile mechanic because he could not reached far enough and finish.

You won in the end.

Ya those PS lines are not fun with all the tools and a hoist . Glad you got it done . Take it easy for the next few days and let your body heal so you don't pull something bad . It always happened to me the next day , not doing the job . Just one of the ten thousand reason I won't return to a auto shop.

Dave, did you just predict the future? I was coughing hard this morning on behalf of a piece of pancake that went the wrong way and something went totally snap between my ribs and now I can barely breath

ok, one advil and one tylenol now. I almost never take pain killers, but the pain is crazy now

Must be early model. Came with case blade. Engine seized. Near by, from one of Dave's buddy.
I'll post some more in another thread when I get to have a better look. Was sitting outside stuck in the frozen ground. Might use it as parts donor or restore it, not sure.
