This past week I’ve been on Captiva Island in Florida. The weather has been sunny and in the high 60’s to low 70’s. This is near Ft. Myers where two years ago hurricane Ian came through and devastated the area. It’s in the process of rebuilding but you can see a lot of damage still. I return home in another week and I’ll try to bring some sunshine back with me. :peace: Harry

See you next week. :giggle:

Sounds like it’s time to stoke the fire and hibernate for a few days!
I will be doing that Jeff.

The weather guessers are predicting a few days with some sun each day . Still a few degreees above during the day and below during the night of the freezing point . Hopefully they over exagerated for you Noel.

Hopefully Dave. Another couple of weeks and I’ll be starting to think spring instead of winter. I better get some of my winter projects started. :giggle:

Harry, enjoy that Sunshine. My family used to have a house on right around the corner from where your at on the east side of Pine Island (Matlacha). Nice boat rides around the islands. Good memories. Family sold it about 15 years ago. It's a really nice area. My family was talking recently about the house and what condition it may have been in after Ian came tearing through. Relax and enjoy the warm sunny beaches while you can.

We took a drive yesterday through the Pine Island area. WOW! Matlacha is a mess. Roofs missing, walls blown off, one house was half in the water. They certainly were not built to withstand a hurricane. I see all the new construction is going up with concrete block walls. The break wall they are building to protect the causeway bridge is piling sheets driven into the ground then covered with concrete and huge boulders piled up to the waters edge. :peace: Harry

Lots of weather today. And a little worse tomorrow. And more Monday. Case 466 worked good. Just cleared the main part. Just in case of an emergency.
