More progress on my tile project. I removed the thinset from the backer board and the tiles last weekend. What a miserable job that was. Today I laid tiles for the first time. I had to lay the first few tiles a few times because I had too much thinset under the tiles to fit the tiles under the wood trim and or level the tiles with existing tiles. The original tiles were laid with a 1/4" trowel but no back buttering the tiles. I tried 1/4" trowel and back buttering the tiles but had to switch to 3/16" trowel and minimum back buttering. Next weekend I will finish up the grout.

Only when if I didn’t lift the disc frame at the end of a row fast enough. After a couple of squeals a got the hang of lifting and spin the tractor around. Like most things you do the first time. With practice it gets easier. Same when I plowed the first garden last fall. When I got to the second garden it was a piece of cake. I may plow and disc up an area behind my house adjacent to my large garden. It’s still the original area that was a farmers field that I kept mowed over the years. There are some small furrows in it which makes for a bumpy ride in the mower. I would like to smooth it out and put in drainage trench. Projects, projects and more projects. :peace: Harry

I got a tour of this. When the bucket dumps the falling dirt literally shakes the ground.
