This was a stunning view for only a few minutes this morning. 30 degrees, heavy frost, and sunlight just breaking through the clouds at the right moment. What a great way to start the day.

Very nice @Timj ! Hope you get a deer. I got my hunting license a couple of years ago and a nice Hoyt bow but never managed to go hunting. Or fishing for that matter, since the boys were born. One day.

Some day you will, hopefully it will be something you can do together.
I do alot more sitting and watching them, but one in the freezer would be ok. It's archery here now, firearms opens next weekend.

Oh man, how I wish I was closer to you! We have quite a lot of common interests! What bow do you use? I got a Hoyt nitrum 30.

I'm thinking with our shared interests, if we lived closer together our wives may not be happy.

Nice guys! Tim I love those mornings with a fresh dusting. It'll be down here before we know it.

Here's the view from one of my stands during the last weekend of Nov. shotgun (for where I am there's another gun week during the first week of December too, but you only get to pick one...) Back to bow for now until the end of the year. Took 2 nice bucks from this spot - a 7 pointer and a 9 pointer during first 2 years living here. Been quiet last 3, cams show lots but I didn't have 3 little ones back then :) Look forward to having them out there with me one day (I'm sure you are too Eugen) Image

Beautiful view there @Chad ! Yep, looking forward to take the boys do stuff with them. Timothy's going to be almost 3 next summer so we'll go fishing for sure. Can't wait! :D Poor boat's been winterized 2 years ago and just sits there, waiting patiently. :violin:

@Timj yeah, well, my wife would be happy if I did buddy stuff once in a while, but you're right, not too much. happy wife happy life :D

Very nice@Chad, the piece and quite is great. The rut is in full swing here, so there's been alot of good activity. That ridge has given many deer over the years.

Our archery season runs from mid September to end of the year. Our 9 day firearm season starts Saturday, followed by a week of muzzleloader, followed by a 4 day antlerless hunt. Some zones also have an antlerless holiday hunt from Christmas to New years.

The outdoors is some of the best quality time we can spend with our kids. My oldest daughter (23) doesn't hunt anymore, but we fish whenever she comes home.
