Wow, nasty storm @MattA !

@Harry we worry around here about two things. Snow load and UV. Had a Shelterlogic 20x12x12 feet for the last 3 years and the original tarp starts to disintegrate from UV. Every winter I worried it would collapse under a heavy load of snow.

This year I got another type, same size but much taller so that the roof is steep and snow won't accumulate on top, I hope. I am blessed with a wife that doesn't mind my tractoritis illness :worship:  as long as the family remains priority number one which is the case!

I see the beginnings of a mezzanine for in there for extra storage . Such a high roof line , be a shame to waist the space . :hm: Would make more room for more Stuff  .

That's a great idea Dave! But this is something else. Making a small vestibule for the front door.

Work in progress. Managed to get the home wrap on and the steel roof installed just before the rain started last night.

Another project, :smash: :spin: but there will be no snow and ice right out the door. A little less to shovel.

Could fit four but I need the table saw in there too. Happy tractors! :spin:

Mine started out as a plain deck, several years later corner posts and a corrugated fiberglass roof were added. Several years later I acquired some old sliding glass doors to cover the north and east sides. If some more would show up, the southside would get done too

Haha @Gordy I should have asked here because I was in doubt how to connect the roof of the vestibule to the house siding. Yours looks good and seems to have withstood the test of elements and years. I ended up cutting the vinyl siding horizontally above the steel roof of the vestibule, inserting another piece of siding in the cut and resting the other side on the roof, and then using siding caulk to seal the cut. Rained in the last two days and seems to have worked as intended.

I like your big windows there!

I didn't connect the fiberglass roof to the siding. Instead just went for a close fit of 1/4"or less. The overhang of the house roof keeps rain out and only very fine snow makes it in and then only if it is very windy.
