Propane bottle change at 1 AM when out door temperature was as forcast. -12c/ 10f. The lowest temperature of this winter.the night was crystal clear with a 1/2 moon and both dippers hanging in the night sky. Up again at 5am for a temperature check and it's even colder, -20c/5f. The floor is over 60 hours old and at -1.6c/29f.

When propane runs out the heater will be shut down untill we start building in January.

Temps are suppose to go back up , That should help you out .

13 days since ground breaking, Build day 9 Excavation begin for placing gas and electrical trench. 9 loads of fill trucked to the neighbors. A 3 foot bucket we used close to the house.Gas and electrical can be placed in same trench with 12" separation. Any slack time was used moving framing lumber into the tent. At end of day elevation grading and utilities trench was completed. A 14' wide parking area was included along North side of building. We were short 2 loads gravel because pits closed at noon. Pits reopen January 2. I am taking the hint and doing the same.

Winds here were estimated at 60k/40mph with higher gusts and heavy rain. I expected to find the tarps shredded this morning, one corner was all that pulled loose. We would like to get another week out of it while building walls. Temperature this morning hovers on freezing.

We had a lot of the same around here , not fun . All that snow we had is almost all gone . Hopefully the weather settles down and you can get things moving along .

Same here rain on and off all day with windy conditions. I had to bring in a few Christmas decorations that blew down. It’s about time to pull the plug on them anyway. Hope progress in the building continues successfully Spike. Harry

Ice build up on the far end had to be dealt with after holidays.A quick slash, a bit of snow removal, and we were set for Build Day 10.In spite of -13c/9f Outdoors it was comfortable working with 1 propane heater going. By end of day 10 the 46 foot long wall was framed and sheeted. build day 11 was dedicated to framing the North wall.It was laid out on top of the south wall. Today, build day 11, morning temperature was -17 c/ 1.5F, the 30 foot long back wall was framed on top of the side walls.With the 3 walls completed it was time to take down the temporary building.By 4pm the "tent" and truss structure was almost gone.We enjoyed the heated structure but it had served it's purpose, protecting the fresh concrete from freezing and the bonus of wall assembly in a comfortable environment.
