It's 3/4" scd40 black pipe. The OD is a perfect fit. I don't know if the OEM used scd80.

oem is definately heavier wall than scd 40 . Keep an eye on it . You may need to reinforce the bend . Other than that , it looks good .

Ya, that was my thought too. It doesn't seem to flex when lifting the front wheels off the ground but real world use will tell. I think I'll just weld a little gusset in and be done. This little tractor shouldn't come close to bending any of the rest of that tube.

In retrospect a piece of rebar inside at the bend would have been perfect.

Yes, definitely would have lessened the distortion of the tube but would have been a little tougher to get heated and bent.

Looks good Tim. I didn't realize I missed the pipe diameter dimensions.

My 4016 seems to torque to the lift arm side when lifting my SB48 snowcaster. A lift arm setup from both sides of the tractor may be ideal.

A little box of goodies showed up today from @myerslawnandgarden thanks Bob. I ordered online Monday afternoon and the package was in today's mail (regular shipping). We have some great vendors out there. Definitely don't forget about Bob!

When I've had a few minutes time I've been able to get my chute crank built and welded on.
Put new pulleys and belt on the mule drive. Have a little bit of work to do to get it aligned right and should be ready to go.

The lift arm setup typically uses a pair of retaining clips and washers. I think I posted a picture previously.

I didn't have them on at the time, was taking the bar on and off and they kept falling off.

kicked off the new year with a little tractor time. Actually it was kinda windy and raw and everything was covered in ice (had some freezing rain), so hiding in the shop was ok. Need to get a little more ready if we get snow.
This afternoons accomplishments
Figured out my alignment and belt tension issue on the mule drive. My belt is too long, I had got it for a j84 caster which uses a 6.5" drive pulley, this caster has had a 6" pulley put on so needs belt for newer model. That and a new idler arm bushing and I should be good to go.

Put new plugs and wires on. No more shorting to the hood
New headlight lenses in, old were pretty melted.
New inline fuse holder put in. Had been giving some grief, poor contact inside.
Chains on.
3pt on for a little added weight and to get it off the floor and quit tripping over it.
