Little bucket forks said "we're lonely" so they got company...

I walked around the pecan tree just to see and I’ll be dipped, we have some pecans this year!

We’ll have to start gathering them up.

The resident fox decided to take a pee in our garden.

:)) no, I didn't. Seems very much used to people, it took its time and marked around. The kids were inside, unfortunately. I like seeing wildlife, hopefully it's not rabid.

You would probably know if it had rabies. It wouldn’t be acting right. I saw a rabid raccoon years ago. It acted 9 kinds of crazy. Stumbled around running into things like it was drunk poor thing. That was in town so animal control took care of it

Sling shot and frozen peas . Like an electric fence , you just need to sting it so It needs to knows that your area is yours and not a place for it . You don't want it coming around in the day . Plus depending on its diet it can carry parasites that can make a child very ill as well . I like to see wild life too , but some need to be kept on the other side of the fence .

@DavidBarkey you're right, I do worry about that. For some reason we get rabbits, skunks, raccoons, the odd coyote, and other people's cats going through our yard like it's their territory. The day before yesterday our toddler found a tick on the bed. First time I ever saw one in real life. So tiny.

I saw that while deer hunting years ago about 1:00 in the afternoon, but its fur coat was in really bad shape too, So I don't know if rabid or mange. It was heading for me, so at 20 feet the Ruger Super Redhawk (44 mag Hollow Point) punched it in the nose and put it down. Being close to home I got a shovel and buried it deep to hopefully keep whatever it had from spreading. At one point I also put down a fox in similar condition, that was hanging out near the house.
