Well once again, the garden was put in with good intentions and ended up as a huge weed patch. At least I get to run the tractor pulling up stakes. 1B34FB23-A555-4D5E-B290-779AE52CD7C5.jpeg4120E44B-A42A-4F80-AD20-2FF27C61F183.jpeg
Your not the only one over run with weeds and crab grass. Somethings did very well dispite the weeds , other not so much .

I'm in that club too. I'm very successfully growing weeds!

Our Christmas lights were hung along the driveway for party parking last week. A full moon and haze made it irresistible for playing with photography.
The night as the human eye sees it.
As the phone sees it when held by a shaking human
and taken in night mode with camera on steady rest.
Reality of the moment at the onset of fall ranks far above what a camera can capture.

This years garden results so far .
Squash , melons and cucumbers - poor
Corn - ok ,but raccoons and chickens got it all .
Potatoes - Ok so far from what we picked
Onion - poor , but that was my fault letting the birds in to deal with bugs . They ripped the tops of all of them and most of the onion died off .
Peas - good
beans -good
Tomatoes excellent
cabbage excellent
Cauliflower - Good
Broccoli -good
Kale - excellent
lettuces -great until bolted from the heat , second wave starting to come back
Celery - good
Carrots - great
Grapes - excellent
NON edible vegetation - OMG stupid amounts
Learned something to do again and some NOT to Ever do again

Cool photos Spike. I got to catch the moon rise out in the flats Friday night on my way home from picking up the sweeper. It was awesome coming up with the low horizon and we had a little haze of smoke from western wildfires, which gave it a red color.

@DavidBarkey , still looks like very decent results from the garden. Our tomatoes did well. Garlic not so much. We won't have seed for next year. Not sure about the potatoes. Have yet to harvest them.
