I completed the Christmas lights just before Thanksgiving. They probably can see my house from the International Space Station.   :peace: Harry

Looks great Harry . My :wife: want to put up ours this weekend and test them out before weather gets nasty . I said ok fine but we don't turn them on until Dec. 1st. I like them and all , and would rather do it sooner than later . But for me they loose their special appeal when they are on too long .

@Harry Thanks for turning on your lights. They guided us on our drive home from Oklahoma last night.

Very nice Harry. Im with Dave, I don’t turn them on till Dec first. But I did have them installed a few weeks ago. Only one 6’ tree out in the front yard. Easy to do.

It was my :wife: birthday so we went to a local casino to use up a $25 gift certificate I won in a raffle. She ended up walking away with a little over $300. Sooooooo. On the way home the money was evidently burning a hole in her pocket. We stopped on the way home and she bought two more 9’ trees for the front yard. Now you’ll be able to see our house on the moon. :peace: Harry

Well I lied. Grandson came over to nite. He and his grand mother were out to the Xmas parade today. And he’s staying over nite. So when they came back, in the dark, I put the Xmas lights on just for him. He likes it.
Won’t be back on till Dec first. :giggle: :giggle:

No tree up inside yet. We just use a small fake tree.

We're just doing a little fake tree this year, not really going to be doing anything thing here for Christmas and the kids aren't coming home till the week after. My family is doing the Saturday before at Dad's, wife's family the Saturday after, so we might just go to the cabin for a few days. :shh:
A friend of a friend has a Christmas closet in their living room. Their tree stays decorated and rolls in and out of the closet. :hm:

Nothing special here. Just a long string of lights along the drive. The first year they were about 4ft off the ground. Dumb idea, deer ran through them after turning them off at night.

Our 'mini' Christmas tree is only about 2 feet tall, and is innocuous enough that it's out year round -
PXL_20231211_032354053.MP~2.jpg
:wife: likes it for a bit of 'mood' lighting in the living room - We have had (and really do like) natural trees - we've even bought a couple of 10' to really take advantage of the 10' ceilings in our 1880's house... Unfortunately it takes a ton of decorations to make it look 'dressed' and with just gifts for Kelly and I - well they get lost under a big tree...

Btw - been told we are going "full gnome" this year...
