So they changed their mind, the weather guessers, still gunna rain, but down to 25 to 35 mm of rain now. Still be 7C. So the little bit of snow coming down this morning should be gone on Saturday. Doubt I’ll even need to clean the driveway today. Only 5 cm. 2 inch’s.

Now there is a term I have not heard in years . "gully washer" . My grandfather use to use that one .

Well we like to keep the old sayings alive around here!

A wet snow fell just before 9 pm and shortly after the power suddenly went off. A short later we found out a vehicle had taken out a pole, killing power to 57 customers. The hydro website gave an eta of 2:45 am I woke up at 4 this morning to no power and checked the website again. 19 customers were still without power. It came back on at 5 am. Some insurance company will get a hefty bill on this one. It is 25 F / -4 C here this morning.

When I reported the outage the woman expressed her sympathy for the inconvenience. I responded that with the fresh snow, moonlit night, and no light pollution within view, life was good. She responded that I should take a romantic walk in the snow. I laughed at her and responded, I am still married for 43 years. She laughed.

The drivers side power window regulator on the 2000 GMC broke the evening Wed evening. Our local parts house had one in stock, so an outdoor installation was complete by the time the snow started falling yesterday.

Our rain turned to snow sometime in the wee hours of the morning - not much accumulation, not sure whether to use the shovel or the push broom on the sidewalk out front -

Thinking maybe I'll go back to school for a fourth career and become a meteorologist - can't think of another job where I can be paid to be consistently "sort of accurate" - nice to be able to have mother nature as a fall back if things don't go as planned...

One of these days I'll get to use the 446 for moving snow

The weather was 78F and sunny yesterday here in Florida. We even grilled some burgers. Were heading back home to the cold in a few days.

Glad you got some warm temps down there. I took my family to Florida during Christmas. We got there on the 24th and it was a high of 46*. The day we left was the warmest...68*.

Snowfall and then rainfall warning today. Got about 6” plus of snow. Within less than a half hour it went from easy to move fluffy snow to wet hard to move top to bottom. So I got to move it when wet, of course. Any way. Tractor worked great. No trouble moving wet snow, or the stuff that the highway plow pushes in driveway. And never plugs up. And no rubber paddles on the thrower.
So gunna rain for the rest of the day and tomorrow.
