Sorta starting to get me worried this winter so far. No snow really, just had the 446 out once so far. What’s got me worried is, we had a winter like this in 2015. No snow until January 27. Then the big whamie, feets of snow from February to May. It was nasty.

Yah , me too the great lakes temperatures are well above historical averages . Not quiet as high as 2015 , but close . Everyone remember the Blizzard of 2015-16 where the north east got buried. Well the water temp was 10F greater than historical average . 2022 is about 7 for the month of Dec. No ice pack , warm water , cold winds from the north = lots of Lake effect snow . What we have seen so far is what I beleave we will have more of . major snow falls followed by big melts . I am glad we live on higher ground . This years essentials will be snow shoes and PFDs , possibly in the same week .
My 2 cents , you may keep the change .

Better keep your hip waders close @Harry!
Flash floods are nothing to play with hope it doesn’t get to bad.
@DavidBarkey we still have a lot of open ground around here. Prices are up right now like everywhere. Just depends what you’re looking for!
Was just kidding . We have been very fortunate with our weather that it has been quite moderate . Everyone else seams to get it worse than us , be it cold, hot , winds or storms . But if I am able to travel again , wouldn't mind visiting some of the areas to the south again.

Too expensive in my area. I moved here 45 years ago because there was a lot of open lots farm land and a 15 minute drive to work. Now all the lots have been sold and big two story homes on them. Still some farm land but it’s getting scarce.

Hear too Harry , we bought a fixer upper on 2 acres a little more than 10 years ago for $210,000 . It now has a market value of close to a million . When the market heats up again , it will go over that . The only down side to that is with increased value come increased property taxes .

The temp was in the low 50’s today. It’s melting very fast here. I’m expecting a lot of flooding here because rain is on the way.

Harry
Was in the mid 40s yeasterday and will be in the low 50s F with rain today . The ducks are loving it , but I hope the

can swim . It is going to look like the

s pens from across the road . out back today .

Well here we go again

Weatherman says 8-10" for the next 2 day total. It is coming down heavy 4" in the last 2 hours, current temp is 21f. It is supposed to stop later (by radar 1.5 hrs) then wrap around and get us again tomorrow

Looks like I will be getting plenty of tractor time

It still nice and mild here for now and going to stay that way for a bit yet . Other than it being at the temp where it's just damp out it has been good .

Been raining on and off all day here in central WI.
Had about a half to three fourths of an inch of slushy ice this morning. Supposed to change to snow tomorrow. The foot of snow we had before Christmas is mostly gone.
