Today I finally got around to replace the steering pump on the truck. It was one of those easy jobs with no surprises. Yet. :shh:

So far it needs a lot of grease, a lot of oil, some beating with various hammers. It actually seems to be in pretty good shape. Just rusty and stuck from sitting. I’ve had it for a couple of years and who know how long it sat before that.

Glad you pump job went well! It’s nice when things go as they should.

Been mowing a lot of wet grass. Time for some deck maintenance. This 648 sure is handy to have around!
Once you have one you'll find many uses for it. If you ever sell it, you'll regret it. I like mine so much I purchased two. A 644lbh and a 646 loader with a rototiller and rear mowing deck. They are very uncommon in my area!

Never seen anything like this before. All of a sudden I hear what sounds like hundreds of bees. And then I see them!

Just the other day @Spike188 said he was setting up a trap for bees. This swarm would have been great for him!

Wow, @Eugen that is amazing. Unfortunately bee die off has been dramatic here this winter. We are starting to see some bumble bees but no honey bees in sight.

Spike.

I picked up this John Deere sickle mower a while back.

The PO told me the PTO shaft was bent. He wasn’t kidding!

Hope you get it straight enough andnworking again! Now you gave me ideas for the hoe! :D

Are you planning on using the sickle mower? I got this one but would like to somehow adapt it to attach to the front of one of the Case garden tractors.

Is that a Taylor Forbes or a McCormick Deering sickle mower. ? Neat.

I think you would need bigger tractors than a Case or two Eugen. Your MH 33 would pull it nicely.
