We were planning on going to my daughters house tonight who lives less than a mile away. I trudged through snow waist high to get to my shop. Started a fire in the wood furnace to defrost the 446 when I’m done blowing snow. I cleared a path down my stone driveway and made it to the road. No plow has been through so four feet of snow in the road. I cleared a path in my asphalt driveway and started to clear a turn around area in front of my house and the Onan started sputtering. Then it quit altogether. I tried to start it to no avail. So it’s setting in the driveway until the blowing snow stops. I did lift the blower while cranking it to start. So I can always tow it to the shop if necessary. :peace: Harry

Yes it will be Matt, when it stops. Blowing the snow around and I can see what I’m doing out there. It was hard to see in the cab even with the windshield wiper. The weather service just said in my area we had 23” of snow today. I’m not to sure about that but it is still coming down out there. :peace: Harry

We didn't get the snow amount they predicted, but the wind gusts have been tough on my tents, very worried about a couple of them sailing. Had one tent nicely taped on the inside all around to the vapour barrier that's been on the floor, as to keep the humidity out. The wind totally ripped the tape as the front and back has started to flap too hard. Quite a lot of snow got drifted in, had to put another big tarp on the inside, pushing against the wind, at 12:30AM, with tractor suitcase weights on the floor to keep snow out. Oh well, so it goes. :hitsfan: :violin:

Sorry it quit on you Harry. I’m hoping its something simple. With that much snow blowing around maybe the points got wet, or the air filter is full of snow.

As for here we’re finally past the wind and made it all the way up to 20F. We ended up with maybe 2” but right now they are calling for another 1 to 3 tomorrow night into Monday. I might get enough to try out my plow!

@Harry That sucks , Hopefully Jeff is right and it is just a frozen air filter with all the blowing snow . I had Frankie out using the loader to clear drifts and where the plow went through . Thankfully I have a cab too . Tried the blower but with the wind made it almost impossible to see where I was going . The wind is still bad here .

I hate to keep the 446 sitting outside all night. I’ve been inside all afternoon thinking about the situation. I think the electric fuel pump quit working which is not the first time I’ve had problems with them. If I find that to be the problem I’ll convert it back to a pulse pump. Check the pic attached, still snowing and blowing. :peace: Harry

Well after thinking it was gunna be a green Xmas for the last two weeks, it’s a whiteish one. Snow started and suppose to go all day. Very little mind you, but it is making things white.

Have a good day members. :D
