Yesterday s project, pulling ceiling fan vent pipe through 12 feet of very tight and finished ceiling and 12 feet of open ceiling. Squirrels eat the outside vent cover off, then through the vent hose, giving them access to the drop ceiling. Mom gave birthh to a 3 kits. It took over a week of searchimg to find how she was getting into the house. By the time her entry point was found all of the drop ceiling was destroyed, it stank. 20241009_200217.jpg20241009_200311.jpg
It won't happen again. Putting wire mesh over outside flap.
Good catch Spike, you have to keep those rascals out! :letmesee: :peace: Harry

@Spike188 - Eugene... I feel your pain and frustration :cuss:
We've had more than our fair share of squirrel guests making nests in the attic insulation, even worse when you can't find a deceased member of the gang and have to wait months for the smell to go away...

Did anyone else see the Northern Lights on Thursday night? We were lucky and had relatively clear skies around here - I drove an hour north of the city in search of a quiet gravel road away from city lights (and all the other people crowding the shoulders of the roads gazing up at the sky...)
It was pretty neat...

We got to see them way down here at our house, but the colors weren’t nearly as good as what you saw!

First for me... Sadly you really couldn't see them by the naked eye. You could see something wasn't normal, but then the camera picked it up very nicely... Wish I had my SLR charged for use on a tripod. I think this first one would have been great without the hand shake. My house is just down from center of the photo.

Across the street from the bar slightly earlier that evening.

Our back yard the other day .
Cut down all those big sunflowers and use them for fall decorations on the house .
