For followers of Canadian grocery store advertisements, this is shaping up to be Presidents Choise "Memories of" Winter 2002-03.

That was our first winter in our old house in Barrie . It was a new build and not everything was in place like the paved driveway and having much more than just ONE shovel By the end of November we owned 4 shovels and a small snow blower . By New Years eve there was no where left to put the snow . Double car drive in a new subdivition . There was not much room out front to put that much snow . The city wouldn't take any way so we had to start hauling it to the back yard on tobogans . Fortunately we had a decent size back yard compaired to most . The boys thought it was great all the snow days they had that year .

All I can do is laugh about it now , but then it was a shit show of getting up extra early every day clearing snow , go to work and spend half your day trying to get car thawed out so you can work on them . Then go home to clear more snow .

Got 4" in the first round several days ago. Wasn't home to clean up, so it has turned crusty... I did get the drive cleared with the blade on the 8N late Thursday when I got home. Next morning was 8 degrees. That's way too cold for December in PA. Now we're apparently locked in this polar coaster cycle of a fast storm, extreme cold, slight warm, and repeat.
Ground didn't freeze before the first snow. I doubt it will with the snow pack protecting it from the air temps. It's gonna be messy if I have to take a tractor across the crust. The Gator is fine, but anything heavier is going to tear it up. I really hope this moderates a little by January. We're not built for this single digit crap in PA this early in the season...

yeah same hear Noel

. It is a good thing I cleared the 2-3" from yesterday as we got another 6-8" overnight . It has snowed 27 out of the last 30 days . It is killing me . Fuel cost are way up , I can't get any work done in the shop because of it and Christmas is looming .

I have to go on the roof today and clear the vents as they are already buried and they are those tall turbo vents (about 182 tall ). The weather guessers are saying a high of 5C/ 41F and rain for Thursday
