I’m looking forward to seeing it get mounted on your tractor and going to work!
This is basically what it does. Not my video...

Thanks for your suggestions guys. @Spike188 I had thought it might be casting marks but in that area none of the other 3 pumps I have shows any marks. @DavidBarkey yes, there was oil in the pump housing, but none around the shaft seal.

I happened to have another pump with 1/2 inch shaft so I'll try to use that instead of the old one, hopefully it works well. Cannot work on it right now though, I have limited time for wrenching.

Have a look at the engine side in Case it is the rear main seal leaking a bit .

Well we are getting a very rare treat down here this evening. I’m not sure how many of you guys up north get to see the northern lights but it’s a first for us. Quite beautiful.

My :wife: took some photos I thought I’d share.

Great photos @JSinMO! :highfive: Amazing that you got to see them! We've seen them a few times when camping or travelling farther north from home... Usually have way too much light pollution in big cities to be able to see anything.

There was a lot of solar flare activity that started on Wed. and it looks like predictions are calling for a good chance of being able to see the Aurora this weekend as well... NOAA has a good website for checking on aurora forecasts - https://www.swpc.noaa.gov/products/auro ... e-forecast

@DavidBarkey They were saying best time for viewing is around midnight - but from about 10 pm on you might get lucky... clear skies and lack of light pollution permitting - Good luck  - We might try going for a drive out in the country if the skies are clear

We stayed up till about 2. The sky was doing a lot of dancing but the color was very washed out due to being a mile from town.
