So the side of the garage that I can’t do with the 446 because of sliding, got done by the 224. It had no trouble going in and out of there. No sliding.
224 had not been going in about 2 months or so. Worked great. Only thing with it is it takes a lot of winding to get it going. So have to prime it. If you run it every other day it’s ok. But leave it for a couple of weeks it won’t start with out priming. Fuel in carb bowl must evaporate. Works great once going. :D

Lazy fixis to put a electric fuel pump on it. Turn the key to on and listen to the pump, when it stops turn the key to start :creeper: This has worked for me and others :drink:

You didn't suggest a priming bulb but I have to say it's very tempting!

I quit suggesting them when I could not squeeze one when I needed to blow snow ;) The one I had was rock solid at 10f.

This 224 has a 1/8 hole drilled into the outer air cleaner cover, beside the wing nut. Not very noticeable, but there. I wondered about that when I first got the tractor. My thinking is, he was having the same trouble, and this was a quick way of giving a prime.
So I do similar, quick squirt of brake clean and away she goes.
Not a perfect way to do it. But it works.
