I didn't see when the Cookstown event is scheduled for. I know summer events fill up the calendar quickly.
Keep the Peace

Well, the Georgian Bay Steam show is on now, and through weekend.
Sorry for late update!!!
I'll be there Saturday and Sunday for sure. I have two tractors ready to go.
Saturday is a GT ploughing meet. Saturday night is the OTTA large tractor pull. Unfortunately, GT pull is a no-go this year.
Sunday, there is a Heavy Horse pull in-leu of GT pull.
This year is a bit of a re-start, and we've lost a lot of people and volunteers, so maybe a little chaotic!
Meet me at GT booth!!
BTW, we can mess around with ploughing all weekend if anyone wants, in past years it's been a learning experience for most.

Have a great time . Wish I could come but it is not in the cards this year . Would have been nice to bring the 222 down . My Dad and my son are going . I will tell them to watch for the GTs. Maybe next year I will be able to bring a couple of tractors .

Unfortunately its a show too far for me too. I think it would be around 3000 Kilometers round trip for me. Worried when I got to the border Canada might not let me in and the US might not take me back!
Well I have had the pleasure of being escorted across the border going both ways! At different times, thou! One time because I had fertilizer in back of my truck! I had tried to declare it going into Ontario, but they still didn't like me! Escorted me back to the USA!!!!!!
Another time I was crossing back into the USA and I had some Alpine Plant foods hats made in China. I couldn't prove where the cotton came from, and the office at Alpine was closed for the day. I had 12 hats! I said no problem, just keep the hats or throw them in the trash!! No, can do, I had to take them back into Ontario to dispose of them. The USA border gave me the escort that time back to Canada!!!
Later that night I crossed the same border back into the USA with 3 undeclared coats. No problem sailed right thru.
I had been stopped at the border at Port Huron and Detroit a number of times over a 13 year period. Some of the issues raised could have been dangerous to their health but they knew better than I did! So i played along!
It is a wonderful life!!

This was after the first couple of runs. I said “let’s take a picture” and immediately everyone got off their tractors. Not what I was hoping for.
I got a belt. (Won’t show you full length).
Case making coal.
That could do some ploughing.
