I'm going to go and do something even if it is wrong.
If it's free, it's for me. Oh boy does

hate that one.
If it is free I can afford it , if not you have to talk to my accountant . On account the

has to approve of it .

"Two things can happen. You can win or you can lose and I can handle both". That's something I like to remind myself from time to time.

"Don't let your skimmer leak" meaning don't make a careless mistake.
"don't carry coals to NewCastle" meaning don't waste our time stating the obvious
"he's dumb as a box of rocks"
"his porch light is a little dim."
"I'm busier than a one-arm paper hanger."
"I'm busier than a one-legged man in a butt-kicking contest"
That's all I can think of that maybe not EVERYONE already knows.

"Never criticize a man until you've walked a mile in his shoes."
So:
1. "That way, you'll be a mile away. And you'll have his shoes."
Or, 2. "Unless he's a little shrimp and you think you can take him"
Or, 3. "So people with arthritis should just keep quiet."
