Eugen, when you say "keeping the tractor going straight", is the front being pushed/pulled around by the implement your pulling or you can't turn when you want, or both. Probably both.
Is lack of front weight part of the issue?
I don't have a front weight, and have issues when I have my Hydra bagger on on the hilly parts of my lawn.
I've been meaning to build something, but never seem to get to it.

Tim
Tim, with the 446 I think I never had enough front weight in the garden, as it often went nose up. Shouldn't be the case with the 644 as I can load the bucket with a lot of weight.

That is me too. Don't do much in the garden so I slide around or do wheelies and tolerate it.

.
The loader out front should help, and the right amount of ballast should help you find the sweet spot between steering and traction.

I must say wheelies with Frankie is not a problem as such . The front end does get light when dragging the disks with the loader removed . It helps a lot that the frame is 9" longer in the middle and the extra frame reinforcements , larger hydro tank exc. and loader towers are all ahead of the rear wheels .
The trailer wheels are 5.7 -8 6ply on 5 bolt rims

I've got the same problem. I kind of assumed if I didn't have this little 16HP vanguard motor under the hood and had a big old Onan, the front end would stay down better. I bought a bracket to hold two suitcase weights which I could mount to the decks mule drive but decided not to go that route. I bought some older Craftsman zero turn front weights which I planed to mount to the front of my tractor but never got there either. The weights are actually a configurable weight stack. 35lbs cast weight + 3x 5lb steel plates.

Before getting the 644 I had plans to weld something to a mule drive on the 446 so I could put some of the big tractor weights. If the 644 doesn't work well in the garden I'll do it and report any improvement if so.
