I’ve used the Rustoleum rust converter. It’s readily available but not sure how well it actually works.

I remember people would use lemon or orange juice on rust. The juice right out of the lemon or orange. It will turn the rust black.
Now, I’m old and can’t remember well, , so I could be wrong. Do your research on that.
