In the audio of the video you could hear a clang clunk. Nothing was damaged, good thing. Two days later the same driver was delivering another package when the wife and I were working on the Christmas lights. The wife asked him if he delivered a package here the other day. He said probably because he is the regular driver. She told him she didn’t appreciate him throwing the package on the steps. Oh know not me I would never do that. She told him about the camera and he immediately turned and left in a hurry. With all the cameras on peoples homes today, you would think they would be more careful. Can’t fix stupid. :45: :peace: Harry
20 some years ago I worked for a package delivery company and things were quite different than today with all of the cameras. Even in the country, the days of being able to take a pee behind a tree are gone.

Some idiot amazon driver pulled a u turn on our street and couldn't make the turn and drove through my lawn leaving ruts. This happens at least every other year :cuss:
Guess I'm a bit late putting up the driveway markers. I put the markers on all 400' of frontage I have.

. Note the box with the sign on it . I put it there as we can get high wind that blow across our deck blow light packages down the street . Lost a few that way before . My grandson watched the guy throw them up there , take the pic and leave . I keep the deck and steps clean and safe .

Matt, I seen a Amazon truck totally stuck in someone’s front yard. They missed the driveway totally and were waiting for a tow. :O :peace: Harry

I do not have much trouble with shipping. I set up the "Get Alerts" for each carrier. You get everything from the moment they create a label to delivery at your door.

The USPS is the only one of the bunch that I get a notice that it is out for delivery and then get it the next day. Those tend to be the larger packages that they have to drive up my drive and leave at the door. They used to claim that they delivered the package, but my cameras proved that they did not. I told the local Postmaster that my cameras were on all day, and it never happened again. Those cameras certainly keep people honest.

The other carriers have been great. On Amazon, I think, you can drop a pin on your front door and add a description. That helped a lot.

Yesterdays saga in the fun never ends . I went to Orillia (neighbouring town about 40min from me where I grew up ) to see my dad for a bit while there before picking up a Hit and Miss engine from a guy I met at one of the Fairs . I have never worked on one before and kinda fascinates me . Anyways on my way back , I stared hearing an odd noise . Turns out the bolt holding the gas tank strap at the back rotted through and let the tank and strap hang down . Not good being far from home . Fortunately I have a moving blanket in the truck and ratchet straps on hand . Cold and wet out but got it done and back home . All is now sitting in the shop to be dealt with this morning . I will upload pic of the engine when get the truck done .

Yeah the fun never ends with older daily drivers. I put a used alternator, new mounting hardware and a new belt in the wifes car yesterday. Its had issues breaking the mounting hardware. Hopefully it's fixed this time. It's got 178K on it. I also picked up 3 used tires matching what's on the car for $30 each last week. The 4th on the car is newer. Just trying to get a few more months out of the car.
