Colt Case Ingersoll Garden Tractors

Not a Case tractor, but maybe they had this option too.
Be neat to have one for my John Deere 140H3.

I should look in my LGT Ford options brochure and see if they had one.

I have seen them on JD, Cub Cadet , Bolens , Simpicity , Allis Chalmers, . But I think it would be a great thing to put on a Case. I would like to build something like this for Frankie one day . From what I can see in the diagram they were belt driven drill head and hydraulic lift . Me I would go all hydraulic with a shear pin like a 540 pto shaft .

But the yellow one in the picture seems to be hydraulic and attached to a 3pth. Any of our tractors with rear PTO and 3pth could take it on, no?

The Case's hydraulic system would definitely be the best for building one. I would say this "beam" style would be the best setup for a small tractor versus the the more traditional pto driven 3pt mount used on larger tractors.

It is the same one in the diagram . It is belt to shaft to belt drive . Zoom in at the bottom and you will see a black u joint and silver drive shaft .

I would like to make one one day that is carried by 3 pth but sits down on leggs fro drilling and runs of the wett pto for lift and and driving the drill .

So ford had a post hole digger. But just sorta a trailer that was towed by the tractor I’d say. So any tractor would do. It had its own motor to power the auger. Hand crank to lift and lower I think.

But the other thing Ford LGT 165 had for an option, was a back hoe.

I never knew that the Fords offered a backhoe. I would say either it was too expensive to afford, or that they didn't hold up very well. Because I've never seen one. This is the first I've ever heard of them.

Probably the cost. Thinking how often you'd end up using it, and it just sitting around unused possibly for years vs the cost of a short term rental.

This is mounted on a Bolens , but could be set up to go on any GT. Adding to the to build list .
