Harry, did you add the oil filter yourself? If so, how did you choose the type and where did you get the filter base from? I really like those hose clamps, very industrial! You can't find those in the local hardware store around here.

All the parts to make this happen came from a local hydraulic shop except the filter. The filter came from NAPA. I also made a cover to protect the filter, I will add that pic. The location was decided when I saw how Scott on the other site did his. He bored a hole through the frame and I made mine work by using fittings that I purchased from the hydraulic shop. I also installed a case drain by the filter. I picked up a 3pt hydraulic mowing deck for the rear of the 646. It needed the case drain for operation. I need to go through it still, another project on the back burner. LOL!

My first time doing that much to a tractor. I had cars and Harleys back in the day. This 646 Tractor was a whole lot more time than I expected and I tried not to get in a hurry or change my mind or take to much time in making up my mind. I remember I was getting ready to put the CCKA back in to frame when I noticed how bad the loader arm pivot bar was bent. I ended up cutting the 3/4" rod in half to get it out. Then rebuild the ends of the loader arms to adapt to a 1" bar. 1/4" plates were fabricated to adapt larger hole XX pipe. It took me at least a week to make all the parts. Machine and welded paint and assemble. It should be able to handle the larger bucket that I have planned for this 646. The saga continues!
