Backhoe digging

Post by Harry »

I had the 644 hoe out back trying to expand the pond a bit this morning. It was too wet and the dirt kept sticking in the hoe bucket. After four tries and having to pry the dirt out of the bucket I gave up. Supposed to rain the next three days. I guess I will give up this year. :43:

Could you coat the bucket with slip plate? I'm sure rocks would wear it off but it may help?

I've also punched a couple holes in the bottom of the bucket to avoid creating a vacuum with wet material. On the plus side, it doesn't hold water if I leave it out in the rain. Mud is going to be a challenge regardless, and the more narrow the bucket the worse it is.
