Re: Building a bigger toy box.
Day 13, Trusses arrived about 9 am. By 3:30 the east gable end was built and some of the trusses set up. At end of day the east end gable was plumbed and braced to a tree. Day 14 began, a little nippy, -14c / 7F. By noon most of the trusses were in place and the west end gable was almost ready to move into position. End of day Friday, one side of roof has plywood.

@RoamingGnome There are 4 of us here most of the time but I am still taking a few service calls and my contractor buddy is away some. I have worked with him for 30 years, sharing ideas, tools, and support. He is super at scheduling and logistics. So far we lost one afternoon of production due to high wind while setting forms. Working in the trenches that day started out with eyes full of dirt and a sand blasted face. So far cold has not stopped us.

Re: Building a bigger toy box.
I like the idea of building the roof at ground level ( I don't like heights, maybe thats why I am short ). Can't wait to see how the roof is raised and walls put up .

Re: Building a bigger toy box.
Build day 13 was used to finish sheeting the roof and clear a landing site for it. Day 14 the crane arrived at 8 am. The roof was set on the ground and the walls set in place by noon. Steel for the front arrive during lunch time. Wall bracing and setting up the steel door frame took several hours in the afternoon. The roof was on and bolted down by 3 pm. By 4:30 the crane was gone and our crew was tired. Today's crew was the 5 of us regulars and 2 crane operators.

Re: Building a bigger toy box.
Good morning. Day 15, Hurricane tie downs were added to the rafters and all temporary bracing was removed. Today overhead door framing will commince. A note about weather during roof placement, 30 minutes before the lift, a snow squall came through. Temperature was -11c/ 12 F. Perching on a ladder plumbing side walls, facing the wind, was chilly
