Re: The weather
Over the last couple of days we have had rain on and off. Heavy at times with a total of 6" / 15 cm (as per the rain guage ) so far with a little more on the way . Reports are that northeastern states and parts of southern Ontario got even more . What did you get ?

Re: The weather
It rained so hard yesterday afternoon, my gutters couldn’t handle it. Gutters were clean and it looked like a waterfall around the house. It slowed to a steady shower for an hour then stopped. More in the forecast today. Typical drought to flood. Harry

Re: The weather
Overcast with light showers for the past week or so and for at least the rest of the week. We had a decent thunderstorm from 2-3am this morning. Most decent thunderstorms break up before they get here. Feels more like May here than almost July

Re: The weather
Had a little drizzle yesterday. It rained most of the day on Sunday with some downpours. Got about an inch and a half of much needed rain. This was only the second time it's rained since early May.
I'll get to mow for the weekend.

Re: The weather
I guess this year is feast or famine. We’re so dry here things are burning up. Last rain we had was about an inch I think 2 weeks ago. We are in drought conditions with no end in sight at the moment. Upper 90s to 100+ with no moisture. No sense complaining I guess. I’m sure the weather will flip soon enough!

Re: The weather
With our annual 4th of July independence celebrations just a couple of days away we got word today our county commission has asked for no open flames including all burning and fireworks until further notice due to the drought. Son was disappointed he love’s fireworks but he understands. We’re not going to burn up half the country over some bottle rockets. I hope the fireworks display over the river is still going to happen.

Re: The weather
A few showers but ground still wet. Rain in forecast for the next three days. The worst is the haze in the air from the Quebec forest fires. Quality air index here has been 150 to 200 in the past week. It’s supposed to get better for the 4th. Harry

Re: The weather
Were getting the haze here too. I'm hoping it clears out soon. Were headed to Albany NY Monday and eventually down to the Elmira/Bath NY area for next weekend for a family reunion. Were planning to do a bunch of stuff with the kids.

Re: The weather
We had severe storms over night, I woke up to the sound of hail pelting the house. so far I’m only seeing minimal damage, but lots of limbs down. Antiques to the rescue!
Hauled two loads of brush away.
Any of you guys that were thinking of adding hydraulic dump to your GT trailer my advice is to certainly do it! I know this is a scaled up version but it sure is nice to handle material once and then just dump it! The rain gauge shows an inch of rain but it got pushed over in the storm so I don’t know what we actually got but it was a frog strangler. The driveway was rutted a bit so I chained my old harrow to the 2N. It really should have been bladed and my thought was to run the 446 on it and see how well I can blade with it, but there calling for more rain with the possibility of severe weather again tomorrow so I figured I’d wait. Well now that should wrap up my Saturday evening weather ramble!
The Super H and JD wagon both from the 1950s did the trick!Hauled two loads of brush away.
