Re: Woke up again this morning
Mine doesn't look very bad, but it's quite deformed, nail out of the socket on a side, and skin burst on a side. Hoping for a miracle that the bone isn't crushed, but...

OUCH! I can feel that all the way down here in Missouri. I swear I just got a shot of pain in every old scar in my hands. I’m really sorry @Eugen i know it hurts like hell. Let’s hope its just really bad swelling and no bone damage. Try to take iteasy, I’m sure it will need some time to heal.

OMG @Eugen you did a number on that . Hurt just looking at it . I have hit the wrong nail before , but never that bad . Are they able to fix it ? Hope they were able to give you something for the pain that doesn't leave you loopy . How did you not go into shock after doing that ?

Oh dude! I'm aching just looking at the x-rays... Hope they gave you something stronger than plain Tylenol for the pain - that's gotta throb...
Rest up and hope you feel better soon...

Re: Woke up again this morning
I took a finger off at a 45 degree angle. Doc said it's bad to loose a finger, but it is neat the way you did it. After he trimmed and cleaned up the bone there was a triangle of live skin to just fold over the bone and stitch up. Ended up with very little scar tissue, unlike the finger next to it that lost the corner of the tip, They used salvaged skin to cover that, which fell off and builds up very thick scar tissue even now after 32 years.
