That is an accurate depiction! Brought back memories of a business trip I was on in Dallas Texas several years ago. The last day of the trip all I had to do is get from Irving to Love Field for the plane ride home. Nope! They had maybe an inch and a half of snow that morning. The entire Dallas Fort Worth metroplex was closed, which if you haven’t been, is a huge area. To be fair they don’t see snow often, so there are no plow trucks, no chemicals to treat the roads, no snow equipment at all. We could not get a ride to the airport. No taxi service would get on the road. One of the guys I was with called a ride service, may have been Uber but not sure if that was a thing yet at that time. The guy showed up in a 4x4 and gave us a ride, which was kind of comical since by that time the roads were mostly clear! What an aggravating yet funny day! Thanks for bringing that memory back @Eugen !

Anyway we are now in a winter storm advisory for Tuesday night into Wednesday. They are guessing on amounts somewhere between 4” to 9”+ depending where you are.
A 6” plus snow is a fairly large for this area so I guess it all relative to where you live! Should be fun times if we get that much, might even get to try out the 446!

There’s your winter ramble!

-2C now. -3C later. All the slop from the snow and rain will be froze now. “$@)(“!?(;
Snow and wind this morning. Becoming sunny this afternoon. Windy with blowing snow. Wind is at 70 kilometres from the west. Diminishing to 50 kilometres late today.
What a Beepin mess this is going to be to clear up. Last evening coming into the house from garage, boots were squishing down through the slush about 5” in places.
Luckily power still on, thou flickered a bit. Trees covered in ice and snow. I’d say there will be more trees down.

Now there’s a winter ramble. :giggle:

@propane1 I've had good luck with my snowcaster in slush. It just powers through like a giant water pump :cheers:

@Eugen I think the tires under the mining chains cost more than the chains.

Here’s what I’m in for today to clear the driveway. Fluffy snow on top. Soaking wet snow on the bottom. 12 to 18 inches in some of the drifts.
Well Matt, we will see how the Case 224 and snowcaster are gunna do here in a few minutes.

Nasty, just nasty. Case 224 is clearing the mess. In some spots had to throw the snow up to 4 times to get it off the driveway. You know what that’s like. In the heavy snow with the water in it the belt would squeal some. But didn’t with out the water in it. A lot to do yet.

About the same thing going on down here below you a ways. Not that I’m complaining! We could go all season without a big snow and that would be just fine with me!

@propane1 looks like it cleaned up the mess pretty good, but now i hope you get a little more so I can see the JD work! Sorry :114: !
