Where to buy in Canada. MY 446 is a 1980 and is all orange. Also where to get all the stickers/emblems.

Power red paint can be bought at CaseIH dealer and decals at most decal shops. Just take picture and measurements of decals

I've found Power Red paint in quite a few places close to me in NY. You can also get decals from Maple Hunter. I know it's not Canada! http://www.maplehunterdecalstexas.com/

Rustoleum Engine Enamel "Chevy Orange" is absolutely indistinguishable from Case "Power Red".

Here are some pictures that contain about half the objects factory painted, about half with the Rustoleum.

Can you tell which is which?

I suspect the difference I am seeing in each of the pictures would be the same if Power Red was used, in that some part look shiny new while others look somewhat weathered. But if you hadn't made me look for it, I would not have noticed ;)

I visited Dave the other day and he had some parts hung up , freshly painted with the Chevy paint. I could not tell the difference that and the original paint. That being said, if the original is readily available and I was doing a full restoration of course I'd get the Power red.

Edit: The GPS got me once off of hwy 400 on a parallel road a little to the West and I vaguely remember a big red Case IH sign. I wonder if it's a dealership. Tried a google search but couldn't find anything :(

Some where on one of the sites a few years ago there was paint codes and formulas that could be taken to any automotive paint shop and have mixed up . Maybe someone on here knows the link .

Dave is right, all the same tractor. First picture indoors with flash, the other picture outdoors.

Here's what's factory and what's Rustoleum "Chevy Orange":

Can one make the argument that Power red would resist better to the elements?

The Case Power Red is a top of the line type of paint. So, it does all the things you want while spraying it out and once dry it is going to be the most durable paint.

Dupli-Color DE1607 is available at most auto parts stores. It sprays nice but you need to go light on each coat or it will not go well for you. It is a great match, nice sheen, and has good durability, not great.

Prices have gone up a lot, though. So, with this almost same paint running just under $10 when it was $7 you must look harder at going to any modern Case IH dealer for paint. Farm tractors used the same paint.

Took a trip today to the local Case Dealership which is about a forty-five-minute drive one way to get some painting supplies. I've got the 444 hood, fenders, gas tank and seat support in Desert Sunset. Some of the frame and deck parts need to be touched up in Flambeau. I also picked up the Power Red for the 226 project possibly later next year.

Zesty orange is what I used on my 1982 Case 446. Armour Coat is the brand and can get it at Canadian Tire. Close enough for me. Spray rattle cans or brush, roll or air spray cans. Chevy orange is just a little redder. Maybe. Good price on the zesty orange.
Before and after pictures. Some of the paint in the second picture is zesty orange and some Chevy orange. Don’t remember the colour number of the chev orange.

No show tractors in my fleet. No shows to go to anyway. After the set back here, in the last week, with the covid thing, doubt we will be able to do any thing any time soon.

That's right Noel. A bunch of us were planning to have a Case garden tractors meet here in Ontario and then covid happened and you know the rest. Who knows, maybe we can do it next summer! :bee:
