Keyword being "complete." I had asked for this specifically and it seems to be the case. The lady said her husband bought it for restoration, never ran. He got sick and passed couple of years ago. I will restore this tractor in his memory.

Re: 444 on the list
That gas was a bit old.
With points changed and new carb, and some fresh gas. Will it run?

Re: 444 on the list
I honestly didn't think it would run at all, bought it thinking I'll rebuild this engine. Now it starts and doesn't die. There's a little white smoke. Maybe I do a leak down test just for fun.
The hydraulic attachments lever seems stuck.
This is turning out to be a nice project.

A nice little project vs a train wreck would be a good thing. Maybe that thing did just sit around for years and with a little love will be a great find.
deck's on, blades sharp, let's go it's time to mow

Re: 444 on the list
What I have found in the past is the detente seizes up from sitting . If you can get on the little bolts that hold the springs and balls in place try and loosen off the bolts . Remove them and the springs spray some oil in the holes and rap a tape or some thing over the holes so when the balls break free you do no not loose them . Most likely you will only be able to get the bottom one out with out removing the valve assembly . That may be enough to get the thing moving for now . Then start working the lever back and forth until they loosen off . Hope that helps .Eugen wrote: ↑Sat Nov 13, 2021 11:56 amI honestly didn't think it would run at all, bought it thinking I'll rebuild this engine. Now it starts and doesn't die. Make a list and check it twice . Then come shopping for missing stuff . Before the snow flies and it is buried .

Re: 444 on the list
Well well, I am beyond amazed. After some more running there is absolutely no more smoke and the engine runs great.

Re: 444 on the list
That 7116 did the same, smoked for about 5 minutes then the smoke stopped Ran 2 tanks of gas through it, did not use a drop of engine oil
One from Dads collection smoked bad. I had added some Seafoam to it, maybe he did too. Any way I read too much can make the engine smoke. So I drained the gas and put fresh in it, 2 minutes of running and the smoke was gone
