Well, big difference, thanks for posting that. I'd have never known if mine are used too much, now I know.

Way back when I just started out gardening someone gave me an old front tine tiller. The tines were very worn and having a family with very little extra money. So being a welder fabricator I took them to work and welded some hard facing on the edges of the tines. They were still in good shape when I gave it to my brother. :peace: Harry

Wow... I can't say I've ever seen a CCI rototiller with tines as nice as those new ones... Certainly not any of mine

This will be nice when you get it done I'm sure. I've gotta get around to tearing down my extra HT41 sometime this summer.

Believe me: those tines have a lot of wear left in them. Those tines are still doing a good job when the tines are very pointed and sharp! I used to till gardens until a few years ago tines were hard to get.

The inner bearing race required cutting to split the chain case.

Once the case was split, it was cleaned. New bearings, a new chain and fresh grease applied.

New hydraulic hoses and all new tined make this unit good for another 45 years.

Looks Great - Nice to see inside the chain case when you had it open... simple and robust design. :)
