Whoever bought that tractor must be nucking futs! Well I guess that's me. I need a project like another hole in my head. I bought this from a guy who collects older lawn tractors, he has many from the 60's (we both have a '63 Jacobsen). He said a scrap dealer knew this and offered it to him instead of scrapping. He was a good guy (never met someone with this hobby that wasn't); he opened the transaxle to check if the drive gear was good.
195 front.jpg
Body tin is all straight, but a few accessory holes. Can't turn engine by hand, head was off so likely broken con rod.
195 rear.jpg
Can't figure out where these valves were mounted, must have been on missing seat. I don't know what they were for, either. The flow control is a creep drive and the other is a hydraulic PTO (looks like it was never used, still plugged). It was mounted at the back for land engagement equipment like a roto-tiller, but no sleeve hitch. How does a roto-tiller connect to a 195?

Oh wow! Can't believe you got it! When I saw it on facebook I thought it's hard to find a complete tractor this cheap. What's the engine in it?

Ian, I would have almost paid the asking price just to get Old Ab and the headlights. Did you meet him somewhere or did he drop it at your door?

It was a trailer to trailer transfer on my driveway, but it's not staying here; it going to my tractor storage facility, hence the trailer.

My initial concern was that the seat and rear fenders were removed because the transaxle drive was broken (common on 100 series). It seems they wanted the right hand brake. This model had disk brakes on each rear wheel; too bad no split pedal.

Restore will have to wait awhile, due to moving.

Spike,
Do you need the bulbs or the mounting hardware?

If it is the bulbs and they are the same size as my Simplicity's (4" sticking through the hole). Check out the "Par36" 12 volt landscaping lights. I went with the 9 watt / 900 lumen leds. But if you are putting them on a full restoration parade queen you may want the incandescent bulbs, the leds have a white board with a boat load of leds in them so you do not have the mirrored reflector look.

The property where all of my projects in waiting were stored sold last winter. Every thing was moved home in a rush. Hopefully next summer will see a shop built and this mess cleaned up.
