Eugen wrote: Mon Dec 13, 2021 3:23 pm I have to thank you guys for mentioning the carrier bolts, as I never checked or replaced them on any of my tractors. Does anyone know what the torque should be on these bolts? Or do you use typical table values like 180 lbs for "lubricated conditions" of 5/8 bolts UNF ?

@steadfast glad you found sources for the items you were looking for already.
3/8 x 24 unf grade grade 8 bolt should be about 50lbs. torque . That being said it uses a lock nut so there needs to be allowance for that . I know it is in the manuals somewhere . Which of course is on the other computer , and that old thing take 4 hrs to boot up .

There is a couple of things that need some TLC. A paint job for starters, front pivot pin kit, the rear hitch kit is missing and the steering pinion/rack is sloppy. Is there a place in Canada where parts for these tractors can be had? If not here then the US.
Welcome steadfast. I'm a little late coming to the party, eh! Yes, the 446 is a very nice machine and with some tweaking you should have a great machine that will last your lifetime! Good luck on your new to you 446!
