Hello, my name is Scott. I live in a NW suburb of Detroit, MI.
I recently acquired a 446(14041683) and a 3014(14180619). Neither currently run. 3014 is much cleaner and would require much less to get going. If anyone could provide any information on 3014 I would greatly appreciate it.

Parts or service manual links would be awesome. I didn’t get anything with 3014.
I replaced battery and it won’t turn over with key. I have some knowledge with repairs, just not enough with electrical. It turns over when I jump terminals on solenoid. I depressed seat safety switch. I also tried moving transmission lever while holding key in starter position.

Are there any common issues with the 3014 that I should be aware of?

Welcome to the forum Scott!

I suggest you open a discussion in one of the forum sections appropriate for that, or in the general section and give as much detail about what's not working or what you want to fix. Lots of knowledgeable folks here, I'm sure you'll find the answers you need.

We got lots of manuals in the manuals section here:
http://manuals.ccigt.com

you just have to find the ones you want, if you can't find it I'll post a direct link if I can.

Common issues are the safety switches. For troubleshooting I'd start with jumpers over the switches to rule them out. Sometimes the ignition switch itself is the problem, or a loose wire there. If you have a voltmeter you can trace how far the voltage gets.

Here's the parts manual
https://manuals.ccigt.com/PartsManuals/ ... marked.pdf

It has the electrical diagram towards the end

Hi, Baldeagle, welcome to the site. the Case/Ingersoil GT's are in many ways "basic" in their need for mothering (forgive me I am a Brit by birth). By that I mean that they have only the essential safety switches. So lets start at the basics...

!) are you sitting on the GT when you start? if not you NEED to be as there is a seat switch that will prevent starting
2) Is the GT in neutral? leaving the lever in a drive position is a typical nu-bee error
3) is the PTO lever disengaged? another nu-bee error
4) is the drive in neutral?
5) Can you start the GT by shorting between the solenoid battery terminals and the engine turns over?

If you can say yes to ALL the above then it's time to look further.. At least get to that point...

@BaldEagle Well Scott, now you have gone a done it. I started out with on Case 444. Lets just say it didn't stop there. So welcome to the group. My first thought is what condition is the wiring in. Might it have a blown 30 amp fuse? From your serial number you may have a 1991 model year. Do the headlights turn on? The mower switch must be in the off position to start. Is the battery fully charged, there is a voltage sensor that will disable the system if the battery is low.

Pictures are always appreciated on this site. We are pullen for ya. :creeper:
