The reason I built a loader

No kidding, the original inspiration 4 or 5 years ago to build a loader: To move some of the nice loam from down near my creek and put in in the bare rocky clay depression next to my driveway. And the rocks and clay and depression has only gotten worse with time.
So this morning I got my counterweight all complete (Installed a little clevis for the toplink to pin to) and had just a little 15 minute window for some seat time. And I didn't waste it!
Whooooo Hooo! Let the fun commence!
The counterweight works great. In the 6th and 7th picture I'm climbing a fairly steep little hill. I'd never get up that without the counterweight. And I didn't even have to mount up chains. Schweet!
About 10 seconds after the final picture, the
came out to tell me lunch time and I was needed in the house. She had apparently been calling my phone, but I didn't hear because the phone was taking videos at that moment.
So it was a short time, but A LOT of FUN!

I don't mean to push the issue Bob, this has been a big project and a much deserved break is in order. But once the canopy and forks are finished, the yard is straightened out, and the honey-do list is caught up, what are you going to do with all your free time?

Definitely there's a backhoe ahead!
And I want one too!

I thought I would never want one. I remember when the 644lbh came up for sale on C/L locally, I posted it on the CCI site and said it was something I was not interested in. Then I found out I was driving past it on my way to work every day. So I stopped to look at it and purchased it, picked it up the next day. When I posted on the CCI site that I brought it home, I posted YAHOO!
Someone replied that I went from not interested to YAHOO in less than a day.
I've found out that once you own one you can't live without one! Even with the use of the loader, with the hoe on the back you no longer have to think about weight on the rear to counter balance the load on the front.
Keep the Peace

Great story Harry! I know I want one, but it's not in the books yet.
