Been searching for a solution to frozen ignition!

As any one knows that lives in the "frost belt" where temps get down below freezing and also damp/raining too the ignition switches on the dash panel is really not in a good place and tends to collect any water and freezes. Yeah I have to admit my GT can stand outside, unheated during/ and after I have used the snowblower with key removed and snow caked on the dash, etc. The next time I go to use the GT the ignition key will not insert and/or the key will not turn - frozen! Anyone been in that position or am I alone here guys?

So my "solution" was always to keep the key switch well lubed and also have de-ice on hand too.

Out on Ebay a few days ago and found this.

Ordered a kit and got it today (would you believe its 64F today!) The kit looks perfect though and the price seems very reasonable too.

Ray, thanks for sharing the info  - nice to see it available as an aftermarket add on. When I ordered a new ignition switch from D&S for my '88 Ingersoll 222 last fall the switch came with a similar rubber boot to protect it from the weather.
