The one I showed above is the original 644 seat. Will paint it's frame at some point too.
Next I plan to do this one. No staples. Contact cement probably.

@Eugen I also will be interested to see how the marine vinyl will work with contact cement...

Count me in with Noel and Gerry. If the contact cement works out I would think it would be much more economical than replacing the whole seat.

Well, not a total failure but to me it's more functional.
