My membership is pending approval on account of reports that I don't always buy the absolutely cheapest things and am occasionally, though very rarely, fooled by delusions of "quality" :cuss:

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

They offered me lifetime membership, but I refuse to pay the dues!

:))
Cheapskates usually pay there dues in blood sweat and tears , and the odd trip to the ER.

They also pay cheapskate dues when things break after fixing something the cheapskate way and it don’t work and cost twice as much to fix. I know this, but I’m in good cheapskate standing and I figure I always will be. :|

Pulled out my members card the other day when the wash machine started acting up and could no longer operate correctly. Just changed out this $10 plastic splined hub for the drum and back in business. I'm so proud of myself that I bought a bunch of parts to put my 4016ps back together. Win for my wife and a win for me they say.ImageImage

Evan, I received my cheapskate membership card by never owning a new washer or dryer. The previous washer took the pump out when chunks of rust dislodged from the drum. Our current machine cut a hook off of the suspension springs and is on its third set of agitator dogs and a clutch pack.

Now I have to convince M to let me bring a 4016AH to Ontario from Oklahoma on our next trip.

:O I assume you had to pull a gas dryer out of the way to work on the washer?? I see what looks like a uncapped gas line and got very nervous,. If that gas line is not being used, PLEASE go to the hardware store and get a proper cap for the end of that fitting :please: Things could get real ugly if the valve gets bumped to the open position :109: :hitsfan: Don't be a cheapskate on this ;)

Good work Evan. I replaced the pump relay on the control board in our Samsung front load washer for $13 and got another year out of it. Unfortunately either the rear drum bearing or the spider assembly that holds the drum broke. The repair would have been $70 to $200 minimum + a full days work to remove, disassemble and rebuild the drum. I told the wife it was time for a new set. She didn't complain. I did buy her some good GE units. The Samsung's were free from my wife's brother. We got 6 years out if them.

Anyways the relays are the block boxes on the top left.

I had to dremel the rear cover off and remove the silicone potting material to do the repair. After testing I did silicone it back up.

No worries Gordy. Line was capped. Picture was taken after I just got done testing the washer and was in the process of putting the dryer back when i stopped for a pic. I'm no cheapskate when it comes to my family's well being.
