Is it too big to attach it to a 600 series loader?

@Eugen The d100 is what cace paired with 600's.when the 6000lbh cane out in 1075. There were a couple of minor changes. The biggest one was adding webbing to the transaxle. The D100 is heavy, over 900lbs. 2 holes were added to the frame. They are located on the
extrior ears just ahead of the tower. The holes are where the counter weight brackets mount.
I drilled the two holes in a 1974 frame to match the 1975 bh frame. There were 2 versions of the Davis B100. The early models had vertical outriggers and the later units have folding outriggers. I believe @Harry has the folding outriggers.

Another difference in the 75 600 frames is a larger key switch opening.

The D-100 is what I have on our 648.

After using it a little bit I can tell you the advice I was given is true. The hoe is quite powerful and can easily drag the tractor around. The biggest downside I have found is the weight. With the straight outriggers the backhoe is
800lbs+. Even with the 500lbs counterweight under the tractor the front end is still very light. Even at slow speeds on rough ground or hills the front end tends to float and tires come off the ground very easily.

On my ground, which is fairly hilly, high gear on the tractor is about useless, it just can’t move that much weight up hill. On flat ground the tractor can move in high gear pretty well.
Once its in position it will dig one heck of a hole!

There’s a short ramble on our D-100 :D

Thanks guys. A little while ago I was thinking of building a small backhoe for the 644 loader, but a d100 backhoe would be definitely better if I could find one. My fab skills are also not on par with @thebuildist :5:

The D100 was used until the introduction of the 6000 series which initially was supplied with the Woods WD750. I have never seen a D100 with folding stabilizers, but that does not mean that none were used.

My 6018lbh has a amerequip 80a hoe on back oem. I think the tractor is a 93'. John deere also used the amerequip 80a on some of their machines and it was labeled JD 7 hoe. So there's some options to run across if you were to find one. I like the amerequip hoe on the back. It's a digging machine.
