It was a nice weather weekend for us here in WNY. Saturday, I moved ten bucket loads of firewood with the 644. Then used the 444 and cut the backyard grass weeds and the hydra bagger cleaned it up nicely. On Sunday afternoon I removed the hydra bagger and mowing deck on the 444. Then installed a tiller on the back and started to remove the top layer of grass and weeds from an area that use to be a garden three years ago. The pumpkin garden will be there next summer. It was nice to get some seat time on the 444 which I hope has finally been debugged. I will get some pics today of the 444 tilling the garden area today and post.

Re: Weekend seat time
That is very decent seat time @Harry! Are you going to use your Troybuilt tiller for the garden area? I had a little seat time on Saturday, moving boxes from one tent to another, using the Case trailer hooked up to the 444, and a little on the 644 moving some gravel. These days my seat time involves two toddlers in my arms, there is just no way I start a tractor without these little guys running to me and wanting to be on! It is great fun, no matter how little we get done. I am planning to prepare the garden area in the next few days, hopefully the weather cooperates.

Re: Weekend seat time
The game plan was to strip off the sod with the 444 then to use my troybilt to dig a little deeper and use the furrower to make some trenches. Today I made four passes across the garden. Two lengthwise and two widthwise. It appears that most of the sod is stripped off. I was surprised it took that many passes to get the sod off, but I've got clay soil so it was tough going. I'm going to let it set for a day then run the Troybilt over it. I'll post some more pics when I get it done.

Re: Weekend seat time
It's tough on any tiller to do virgin ground like that. I have best results with one run of moldboard plough and then one deep tiller run.
