Thank you @Spike188 , I think I got a lead on the rod, but still looking for a decent source for the 3/4in ID tubing with a thicker wall to weld on the tower as support for the rod. I might just just get one foot of DOM tubing from the metalsupermarkets in Barrie. it's annoying to pay $50 for a foot of pipe.
Would it be more affordable to get some larger rod and bore it out 3/4"?

@thebuildist sorry I thought I replied. No, metal is very expensive here plus I'm not set up for boring larger holes like this. But I reused the original tubing to make two supporting pipes in the tower.
